Transition to IP with Intinor:

Intinor, an engineering company with solutions for video and audio over IP, had prepared a bunch of information, conferences and presentations for IBC 2021 about the necessary key points for a controlled and efficient transition to the IP world. Intinor has focused its development on these key points to better serve its current and future customers.

One of the biggest concerns in the IP world is the creation and use of proprietary protocols. Intinor, despite having a powerful and robust proprietary protocol, also believes in having an open platform. Consequently, Intinor supports all common protocols for transmitting audio and video over IP with special focus on Open Source protocols. You must, however, pay attention to the ability to recover “Packet Loss” and work in increasingly smaller latencies. Below is an interesting comparison of some modern protocols:

For REMI productions (Remote Integration Model), the objective is to capture content remotely and be able to produce, mix and perform in the production company's or broadcaster's control room. With the introduction of these workflows in the IP world, one of the most immediate challenges is the synchronization of multiple cameras – an almost impossible task due to the latency variations that each video source can face, natural to any network and IP infrastructure.

Intinor now launches the possibility of having streams synchronism inside your equipment, and even between separate equipment, with NTP timestamps that result in a synchronism within 28ms (below 1 frame).
